It is wild to think that Schwarzschild found the first exact solution to those complex equations while serving on the front lines of a war, proving that the most elegant truths of the universe often surface in the middle of our most chaotic human moments. Great write ✨
I truly believe he was a genius and I find it somehow poetic and maybe interesting that he found the existence of such a scary and weird astronomical object while living the worst humanity as to offer.
That’s what I wanted to portray in the last lines.
He is weaved into so many great things we have today. Imagine if he lived past the age of 43 what else he would have contributed to our society! Thank you for this article Tommaso.🙏🏼
The guy who mastered gravity running equations for artillery bombardment…
It’s Hard to say if that genius or a waste.
Needless to say those were probably the most accurate artillery shells of all time (except maybe during the month it took him to polish Einstein’s mess lolol)
He was definitely a genius, even if he chose to go to war and in fact waste his brilliant mind in that…
He also died in 1916 after getting some weird skin sickness during the war so we’ll never know what his mind could have produced if he stayed alive more.
He died at 43 so he definitely could have done more…
As someone who’s an absolute certified idiot for anything relating to math and physics, this was both incredibly informative and confusing as all hell lol. I wish I was smart to actually use numbers, not just remember them 😅
In all seriousness, Schwarzschild was an absolute legend. Never heard of him before but super glad I learned of a man whose surname is almost as complicated as those equations 🥴
I’m sorry if this was too confusing 😬 I really wanted to tell the story mainly but at the same time I had to put some physics in there, it was stronger than me 😅
Thank you again for reading and commenting and for the continuous inspiration! 🙏🏻
This one was probably most confusing to me. Not a bad thing but I think I’m gonna come back to this one. I definitely feel like I got some out of it but I need to be early in my day to process at this level haha. That being said I was still entertained all the way through!

Yes! It’s deeply moving to consider how he could peer into the most profound mysteries of the universe while being trapped in such a dark ✨
Finally got a chance to read this piece, and I loved it!
I’m so happy to hear that.
Seriously thank you! You are always so kind to me 🥹🙏🏻

That’s really something that crosses my mind sometimes.
What majors discoveries he could have made? Sadly we’ll never know…
But at least, I’m happy that we can always read his name and cherish his memory everytime we study General Relativity.
Thank you for reading and commenting as always 🙏🏻

Very unfortunate for sure

Loved it, Tommaso!!
I’m so glad I was able to share his story 💪🏻
